For any questions, Glaçage can be contacted via the email address provided on the homepage of this website (contact@glacage.be).
Glaçage is a ceramic studio offering ceramic painting sessions, modelling classes, as well as occasional events, workshops and other creative and leisure activities aimed at both individuals and businesses. Our full range of services is detailed on our website www.glacage.be (« the Website »), where you will find a complete overview of our services, including information on events (location, dates, times, prices), for guidance only.
Our studio also offers a selection of drinks (hot and soft) as well as a few sweet snacks, subject to availability.
By confirming your booking, you confirm that you have read and fully accepted our general terms and conditions of sale and use.
Glaçage reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. These modifications will be effective and apply to all bookings made after the date of their implementation.
Unless otherwise required by mandatory legal provisions or public policy, these General Terms and Conditions apply to all of Glaçage’s activities. These General Terms and Conditions, as well as any specific terms and conditions of Glaçage, are deemed to be accepted by Customers, even if they conflict with the Customers’ own general or specific terms and conditions. Any deviation from these Terms and Conditions must be recorded in writing and notified by a person authorised to commit Glaçage.
Glaçage sells ceramic items to its customers, subject to availability in the studio.
Depending on the season or stock levels, items may be added or removed at Glaçage’s discretion. The prices listed on the website are for information purposes only and are subject to change. They include the unfinished piece, painting materials for the duration of the workshop, firing and storage of the piece for the agreed period. The illustrations or photos on the Website and on Glaçage’s social media, including its Instagram account https://www.instagram.com/glacage.be/, have no contractual value.
The prices of the workshops are established according to the economic conditions prevailing at the time the order is made on the website. In the event of a significant change, beyond Glaçage’s control, in the cost of the supplies required to provide the service (including, but not limited to, the price of electricity or raw materials), Glaçage reserves the right to adjust the price of the workshops, taking into account the increases actually observed.
Any change in price will be communicated to the Customer as soon as possible and, in any case, before the service in question is provided. If the Customer is a consumer, he has the right to cancel his order free of charge within 5 days following notification of the price change.
The amount of the adjustment will be calculated in proportion to the actual variation in the relevant costs, based on supporting documents available to the Customer on request.
To take part in the workshops, the Customer must register via the Website, subject to availability. Registration will be confirmed upon receipt of a confirmation email from Glaçage. The Customer may register himself. He may also register a group of participants, under his responsability.
Glaçage reserves the right to cancel the booking if the Customer’s contact details or the email address provided are incorrect.
The number of places available per session is limited. Once the Customer has made a booking, he undertakes to arrive on time so that the workshop can begin as scheduled.
Unless cancellation is made in writing to contact@glacage.be at least 48 hours before the start of the workshop, Glaçage reserves the right to claim compensation of at least €50 per registered participant.
The workshop takes place according to the exact timetable stated on the Glaçage website. If the Customer arrives late compared to the agreed time, the duration of the workshop cannot be extended.
The Customer is invited to choose a ceramic piece to paint from the available stock. Following the workshop, the item will be cooked by Glaçage and the Customer may collect it within the specified timeframe.
The standard firing time for pieces is three weeks after the workshop has taken place. Thereafter, the Customer generally has one month to collect their creations from the studio. Depending on periods of high demand or for reasons beyond Glaçage’s control (power cuts, kiln breakdowns, staff absence, etc.), this period may be extended, without Glaçage being held liable. The Customer will be informed accordingly.
Once the standard period or the extended period has ended, Glaçage will no longer be able to store the ceramic pieces for obvious reasons of space, and shall not be held liable in this regard.
In accordance with Articles VI.47 to VI.53 of the Economic Law Code, a Customer acting for private purposes has a 14-day withdrawal period for distance selling services and off-premises contracts, subject to any exceptions provided for by law. In this case, in accordance with Article VI.12 of the Economic Law Code, this right does not apply to the provision of services relating to leisure activities if the contract provides a specific date or period of performance, as in the present case.
Participation in our workshops requires active involvement on the part of customers. It is expected that each participant remains attentive and scrupulously follows the instructions provided by Glaçage to ensure the smooth running of the session.
The workshops involve the use of materials specifically designed for painting on ceramics and/or modelling clay. Handling these paints and clays may cause damage to clients’ clothing and personal belongings. We recommend wearing suitable clothing and taking all necessary precautions to protect your belongings.
Glaçage does everything in its power to ensure that items created during painting and modelling workshops are baked correctly and preserved. However, due to the artisanal nature of the process, imperfections, cracks, warping or breakages may occur during firing or storage.
The Customer is asked to identify the piece he has produced, and to indicate his name, the date of the activity and the name of the model on the pick up card. He also has to take a photograph of his creations. The Customer shall also identify the piece they have produced by noting the date and any other details requested by Glaçage on the back of the piece. The Customer also agrees to collect their creations within the specified pick up period.
Consequently, Glaçage shall under no circumstances be held liable for:
In any event, should Glaçage be held liable, its liability shall be strictly limited to 1.5 times the amount actually paid by the Customer for the service in question. Under no circumstances shall Glaçage be held liable for any indirect damage, loss of opportunity, or moral or financial harm resulting from the loss, breakage or defectiveness of the items.
This limitation of liability does not apply in the case of fraud, gross negligence or breach of a fundamental obligation on the part of Glaçage, nor to any obligation whose exclusion is prohibited by law.
Minors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. In accordance with the law, participants must be at least 18 years of age to purchase alcoholic beverages during the sessions.
Personal data collected when booking a session at Glaçage is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Belgian Act of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data.
This data is collected for the purpose of fulfilling the contract between Glaçage and the Customer, based on the consent given by Customers and prospective customers, and on the basis of Glaçage’s legitimate interest in managing bookings effectively, improving the customer experience and ensuring appropriate communication regarding our products and services with our Customers and prospective customers.

The Customer has the right to request access to, rectification of, erasure of, or restriction of the processing of their personal data. They may exercise these rights by contacting Glaçage at contact@glacage.be or via the ‘contact’ section on the website www.glaçage.com. The Customer also has the right to object to the processing of their data.
By registering for a workshop, you agree that Glaçage may use the contact details provided at the time of booking to send you further information regarding the event or to inform you of any changes to the date, time or venue. The Customer understands and accepts that a refusal to provide the data requested by Glaçage may affect their experience and result in operational difficulties for the latter, for which Glaçage cannot be held liable.
For the purposes of these General Terms and Conditions, a force majeure event refers to any external, unforeseeable and unavoidable event within the meaning of Article 5.226 of the Belgian Civil Code. Such events include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, acts of war, acts of terrorism, epidemics, pandemics, fires, floods, government orders or laws, strikes, lockdowns, or any other circumstance beyond Glaçage’s reasonable control.
Glaçage shall not be held liable for any failure to perform or delay in the performance of any of its obligations caused by a force majeure event. In such a case, Glaçage’s obligations shall be suspended for the duration of the force majeure event, and every effort shall be made to minimise the consequences as far as possible.
In the event of a force majeure event, Glaçage undertakes to inform Customers as soon as possible and to propose an alternative solution satisfactory to both parties.
If the force majeure event continues beyond a reasonable period, as determined at Glaçage’s discretion, this may justify the cancellation of the services or the termination of the contract, without either party being entitled to claim any compensation.
Once the force majeure event has ceased, Glaçage will determine, at its discretion, the arrangements for resuming its services and will inform customers of the steps to follow.
